Kevin Morrice's Bio:

Kevin Morrice: While I was earning a bachelor's degree in communications at the University of Louisville, I took a job as a copy desk clerk at The Courier-Journal newspaper. I worked through the ranks from 1987 to 1996 as a newsroom clerk, obituary writer, freelance reporter, features writer, TV listings editor and TV columnist. I left the newspaper for an editing job at The Backstretch Magazine, where I was managing editor and designer. I continued in that position as a telecommuter when I moved to Oxfordshire, England, in 2001. Since the magazine folded in 2002, I have held editing positions from home with the Trap2Line greyhound racing newspaper and The Racing Review. I recently volunteered at The Kathryn Turner Trust charity shop as store/warehouse manager. I also sought and received four credits at the Open College Network in a Teaching Assistant Training program. My current blog, Our Cookie Journal, is about my cookie-baking experiences over the years with my sister. I also curate cookie content at WordPress.

Managed freelance writers and photographers to produce a bi-monthly horse-racing periodical on tight deadlines; designed and edited a 200-page magazine using Quark Xpress and Associated Press style (including writing all headlines and captions); hired, trained and managed assistants; helped promote the magazine's presence and image by attending Kentucky Derby, Breeders' Cup and other events; blogged about the 2001 Breeders' Cup.
